Invitation to the Silk Road International Expo, Xi’an 11-15 May 2018

You are warmly invited to participate in the Silk Road International Exposition taking place in Xi’an between 11th and 15th May 2018. You will be joining a UK delegation who, with Country of Honour status, will have superior access to national and local State and Commercial leaders. This event plans to build on continuing success in the UK-China bilateral trade relationship, which between January and September 2017 saw an increase in goods and services exports to China of 25.9%.
This invitation-only event jointly organised by the three most influential Chinese State bodies in international trade, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC); Ministry of Commerce (MofCom) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), is the biggest commercial cooperation platform between East and West China. With participants from over 40 countries and regions along the Belt and Road, you will be a vital component of the British delegation; led by The Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP, Secretary of State, Her Majesty’s Ambassador to China Barbara Woodward and, the UK’s newly appointed Belt & Road Envoy Douglas Flint (TBC).

 

Note that several British Embassy events will be held at the Sofitel Hotel.
